Almost

Luke has been talking up a storm these past few weeks. I can't believe how much he can say. I love this stage when language starts to explode. His favorite is to use "Please" and "Thank you" to get pretty much anything his big puppy eyes want.

I love this little guy!

Mr. Pumpkin

Mr. Pumpkin

911

Luke called 911 for the second time this week. I think we need to move the phone out of his reach! I am so embarrassed!
I really need to clean my house. I mean really REALLY need to clean it! I wish I had more time. More time to play with my kids. More time to sleep. More time to spend gazing at my baby. More time to clean and organize (I like doing it what can I say). Did I already say more time to sleep?More time to spend with my husband. More time to spend one on one time with each of my children. More time to hang out with friends. More time to shop (when I have the $$). More time to blog. More time to photograph. More time to exercise (when I can). More time to read a book. More time to study the scriptures. More time to think. More time to declutter. More time to decorate. More time to sleep. More time to be creative with my kids and with myself. More time to me.

For now I will just look around my messy, yet quiet (its nap time), house as I rock my fussy (today) baby who is only calmed when I wear her in my wrap and think to myself... Isn't life great! Someday I will have more time, but for now, I am content and happy with what I have and that's a whole lot of love.

3 weeks

I can't believe that Claire is 3 weeks old today. The time is flying by! Tonight to celebrate we made sure that Claire joined in on our nightly dance party. Here are some of the pictures...
This boy's hair is way to long!
Trying to keep this girl awake is a full time job
James has a good grip on her...it doesn't look like it in this photo though.
Luke doing the splits! The boy is obsessed with the splits lately. I am not sure where he even learned it. So random.

Classic Claire face
I love this photo of Addy and Claire. Addy has such a sweet and bright smile and Claire is looking on adoringly. I know these two are going to be best friends.

* These photos were taken with my digital point and shoot. I didn't get my big camera out in time to capture these moments. Not the best quality but they sure are cute!

Claire photo shoot

Today we did an impromptu photo shoot with my mom. Claire is growing so fast I wanted to document her while she was still little. As of her 2 week appointment yesterday she was back to birth weight (7.2 lbs)! YEA!!!

Dimples

Its true not only do all of my kids have red hair (sweetly now known as my strawberry babies), but they also all have inherited my dimples. Claire has smiled a couple of times (you know those newborn sleepy smiles) and I know I see two dimples, one planted in the middle of each cheek. So SO cute! I know my mother in law Michelle will love that!

Pictures to come.

Daddy Loves Me

James spent part of the afternoon with his girls like this. I love seeing the girls bond while reading books with Daddy.

Addy can't get enough of her sister. Today her conversations went something like this.
Addy talking to Claire: "Claire how do you like your new body? You know Heavenly Father made you."
"Claire when I was a little baby I used to cry all the time. I had a tiny nose and short legs. I couldn't even crawl."

Where does she come up with this stuff?

Dads

There is something truly magical about watching a father with his daughter. Tonight James and Claire got to spend some quality time together. She was awake and happy to settle down in her daddy's arms when he got home from work tonight. I couldn't help but capture the precious moment. I am always amazed at home much love I feel for my amazing husband when I see him with our children. It is overwhelming. I truly love this man for the tender and caring husband he is to me and for the fun, loving and supportive father he is to his children.

Oh how I love him!

Luke, Uncle Bobby and Addy enjoying our nightly dance party

Trying to make Claire laugh. I have a feeling these two are going to have a very special relationship
I couldn't help this one... my little sleeper. She has been awake now for 2 hours. I am so proud of her. This is the longest stretch she has gone so far in her short life.

One Week Old

Today Claire is one week old. I can't believe that this first week of her life is already over. It has been a week of ups and downs.

* Didn't pass initial hearing screening in the hospital...stressed out all week that she couldn't hear until today when she passed a second test with flying colors!

* Jaundice - levels started at 8.7 went up to 17.9, had to go on Bili lights for 24 hours, levels then dropped back down to 11. So happy no more lights!

* Weight loss and weight checks. Claire has not been the best eater. She is really slow. I love it though because it gives me more cuddle time with her while she feeds. She did however gain 2 oz the past few days so that is a step in the right direction. She now weighs 6lbs 6.5 oz.

* Claire does not cry. She sleeps a lot, and she has the most adorable expressions. She is cuddly and floppy. She is just a joy to have around.

Here are a few fun pics from the past few days.

My dancing little puppy - Luke in his new Halloween Costume (more photos of this to come)

I love this picture because we caught her awake.

Addy being a little princess
Doesn't that look like a smile? It does to me.

Thanks for all of your love support and prayers. I think we are on the mend from here on out!
