Yes that is two pink lines. Faint pink but pink none the less. So...
Baby L. # 3 on the way...due sometime in late September
We are SUPER excited!

Luke's first hair cut

Luke's first hair cut. He did an AMAZING job sitting still.
We got his haircut at Cookie Cutters. It was the coolest place to get kids haircuts. They had movies playing at each station, and little cars that had beeping horns that the kids sat instead of regular chairs. A great way to distract the squirmy little ones.
Before the haircut
After the haircut (*sorry not a good pic of me but Luke sure is cute)

Luke had his first haircut this week. It was a milestone in his little life. I have been needing to get his haircut for weeks now but I was too nervous to do it. I knew once all of that baby hair was gone he would really be the little boy that he is growing up to be. No longer my baby.  As soon has his hair was gone I feel like he changed instantly. I know it was not really like that because he is still the same person but he has been doing so many new things since then. For example, last night during dinner prayers Luke folded his arms for the first time. He did it on his own. It was so cute. I almost cried. He is starting to recognize different thing. He is trying to talk a ton ( a few recognizable words in his vocab "ball" "no" "addy" "mama" "dada" "bottle" etc. ) which makes him seem even that much older to me. Luke LOVES his sister. They play together so well and know how to make each other laugh into hysterics. It is especially funny to watch them in the back seat of the car playing peek a boo and holding hands.

Luke is also trying really hard to walk all the time. He will get up and walk across the room on his own and really will try to walk wherever he can but his head and upper body still seem to throw him off a little. Can you blame him... he is a big boy.

It amazes me how fast kids grow. I have really seen Luke's tender and obedient nature really come out. He loves giving hugs and kisses. He sleeps perfectly now! I mean I put him to sleep awake and he doesn't make a peep until the morning, and then its the happiest "I'm awake now Mom" sounds. I love hearing them. He is so gentle and sweet. He LoVeS balls. Playing with them, reading books about them. Looking at pictures of them. Watching basketball on TV with dad. Whatever he can get he will take! Maybe we have a ball player just like daddy on our hands.

I love you Luke!

AZ trip in Picutres

Ok so I have a little catching up to do when it comes to photo posting. Sorry to all family members who have been waiting for new photos (AZ trip, Luke walking, Luke's first haircut, etc.) Well wait no longer. These are for you!
Daddy and the kids on the "Magic" swing at Grams and Gramps house
Addy doing what she does best picking flowers and then sharing them with everyone
It's never to early to learn about cars... I guess?

My beautiful niece Maddie
While we were in AZ Luke started to stand up on his own without support. He is so proud of himself.
Luke with his cousins. What a big boy!
Practicing walking with Dad, his very best buddy!

A good mom

Tonight as I was putting Addy to bed she hugged me tightly. When we released she took my face gently in her tiny hands looked into my eyes and said...

"Your a good mom"

How much can you love your child? Because at that moment it almost seemed too much to bare.

It is all worth it!

Story Time

This is a funny story...

We love to go to story time at our local library each week. It is AWESOME! They have songs, stories, puppets, letters of the day. The kids love it! Well after each story time Addy like to chat with the story tellers (mr. D and Mr. M). Today after the closing "say goodbye" song "mr. D" stopped me. He and Addy have chatted a bit in the past. He told me the cutest thing. He said that about three weeks ago she came up to him and said the following:

" Thank you Mr. D for story time today. (getting a little closer as to tell him a secret she leaned in) Hey I have a great idea (with total enthusiasm in her voice). Why don't we go to Chucky Cheese together? I think we should!" (is my daughter already wanting to date...and a much older man???)

If you ever have a conversation with Addy one can not go by with out talking about her FAVORITE thing/place...Chucky Cheese!

I have a love hate relationship with Chucky Cheese. All of the germs and kids running crazy. Not my idea of fun! BUT how can I refuse when Addy pleads with me and when we do enter those cherished doors the excitement oozing out of her body is just too much to handle. Like I said a love hate relationship!

LOVE firsts

Making valentines cards
a first of many firsts...

First time using glue by herself

first time using scissors by herself

gluing down her hearts all by herself

She was squeezing the glue so hard I thought she was going to pop the top off.  I told her it would come out if she lifted the glue a little bit off the paper. It worked.
Look at that hand hold
Addy's first Valentines card...all by herself.
