Josh Senior Pictures

Yesterday, in the midst of all of the moving chaos I was able to do my last photo shoot in Ill. Josh was an AWESOME model. I think the pictures turned out pretty good. I have so many favorites. Here are a few...

Bacon Salt

Ok so today is moving day... the movers are here right now, my kids are with friends so I have nothing better to do then wait. So while I wait I thought I would post an ode to my dear friend Robin. She was kind enough to remember my ever enduring love for none other then bacon and salt. So when she found out about Bacon Salt she had to tip me off.  And a big harty THANK YOU to Robin! A marriage of my two favorite flavors in one small bottle.  What could be more prefect?I am going to have to place an order right away! Oh and I love the tageline..."Because everything should taste like bacon." Couldn't be more true!

Big Move

Ok so this is the week of our big move. I am nervous, excited, stressed, MAJOR STRESSED, sad (to leave all of our dear friends) and anxious. Most of all though I keep telling myself that by the end of all of the packing, loading, and coordinating of all of the details, we will finally be in our home. I can't wait!!! Sorry if there are not posts for a while. I will try to post our move progress but who knows if that's going to really happen. I will try though. So here are some pictures from last week. Mom stayed on another week so we were blessed with her presence for two weeks. It was so wonderful to have her here helping. We were able to take a little brake from packing for my birthday do indulge in some cake and ice cream (thanks to my sweet James). Addy THOROUGHLY enjoyed herself. I am starting to see how much she really is like her father! This girl has a MAJOR sweet tooth! Sorry but alas Luke is not present in any of the pictures. He went to bed a little early so he missed the festivities. Next time maybe he will enjoy some cake too.
Blowing out trick candles thanks to Heather! They kept burning down to the frosting. It was pretty funny!
Addy and her best buddy Ashlyn. These girls could easily be sisters. We are really going to miss her!

Addy trying to sneak some cake without anyone looking.
Mother and daughter enjoying some treats
Family photo minus our little Luke. This is Addy's new happy face. Anytime I want her to smile for pictures she pulls this one out!

For my birthday James sent me on a scavanger hunt. It was so much fun! He can really be so thoughtful and creative. I was so impressed with his efforts because I knew how busy he has been. I felt so loved! The best part was the final gift at the end of the hunt was an hour long massage for Monday. I can't wait for that! I couldn't have come at a better time. To top it all off James is even going to put the kids to bed while I am out. Ahhhh....I have the best husband!
Friday night we also had a girls night out with some of my friends here. We went to see the new Mama Mia movie! It was great! You could tell how much fun the actors had making it! I wanted to get up and  dance like I did when I saw the show but alas our audience was too defunct so we didn't but maybe if I see it again I will just have to start a dance in your seat trend. One of the best parts of the show was seeing Pierce Brosnan sing. Ok he is NOT a singer, at least I would not say its his best trait but I think the good looks made up for it! Overall, it was a great show!

Big Purple

This week Addy has been in heaven with her "mimi" visiting. While mom was home sick Addy and Mimi went out to get her belated birthday present... a new BIKE!!! Addy has been talking about getting a bike for months and she was so excited she she got home she kept saying: " I can't believe it! I can't believe it!" It has been pretty hot outside so we have enjoyed riding the bike around in the house. It is so funny because Addy's little legs are still not long enough to push the bike all by herself. She is trying hard though. She even has a cute matching pink helmet. She is in heaven!

Also, Little Luke is growing a ton lately. This morning I realized that his first tooth broke through. He has been a little fussy because of it but he is a trooper. Luke has become quite verbal as well. It's so fun to hear him babble "mamamamamamama" and "babababababa." So cute!!! He is almost sitting up on his own. Still a little too unstable for his overprotective mother to leave him to try but I am getting there.

Red Baby

Today while putting Addy to bed (she was having a tough time going down) James asked Addy:
"Addy who do you love more Mommy or Daddy?"

Without hesitation she stated proudly
"Red baby!"
(her most beloved baby doll that she has slept with since she was 10 months old.) I am so glad to know that she (red baby) means so much to her.

crazy

Mom: "Addy mommy doesn't feel good"
Addy walks over to mommy with a forlorn look on her face
Addy: "What's wrong Mom, What's wrong?"
Mom: " I don't feel well Addy."
Addy in her sweet and happy way smiling from ear to her takes my cheeks in her hands and says:
"Mom, be HAPPY!!!"
I turn on my smile and she skips away with a smirk on her face. As she leaves she turns around and says: "Mom your crazy!"

Did my 2 year old just call me crazy?

sick...AGAIN!!!

This past week has been a rough one. Over the past couple of weeks I have been fighting off some yucky infections. It has not been fun to say the least. Anyway, on Sunday after one run to the ER and a final diagnosis I think I am on the road to recovery. My mom was sweet enough to fly out and help with the kids while I get some much needed rest. How could I do it without her help I don't know! I am just so grateful that she was able to drop everything and fly out here. Addy and Luke have been enjoying "mimi time" and I have been enjoying "mom time." I am finally feeling a little better and ready to take on the big move! Ahhhhh...I can't believe that it is coming so fast. Here are some fun pictures of our day today.

Happy 4th of July

Yesterday we had a fabulous 4th of July. We started out the day with a parade at our friends neighborhood. It was so cute to see the kids with their bikes all decorated. It made me remember some of my greatest 4th of July memories as a kid at our neighborhood parades. Oh the memories! After hanging out with friends for the morning James indulged me with my tradition of fried chicken on the 4th of July. I NEVER have friend chicken except the 4th of July... its tradition! After naps we enjoyed some party time with friends again. The kids could not wait to stay up to see the fireworks so we had to skip them this year. Hopefully one day we will get to see fireworks again! Overall it was a great day!

We are knee deep in boxes right now preparing for our move. I can't believe how fast this is creeping up on us and I can't believe how hard it is to get any packing done with two kids needing my constant attention. We were able to make some headway during nap time yesterday and last night after the kids were asleep. I am just exhausted now! I know it will all be over soon and we will be able to settle down for good. At least I have the Bachelorette to look forward to on Monday night... I know I am so lame, but I am addicted!
