BYU here we come!

This post has been a LONG time coming. For the past two years we have been going back and forth about the possible opportunity of a job and a big MOVE for our family! Well the day has finally come to announce YES we have accepted a job at BYU and YES we will be moving to Utah! Ahhhhhh.... I NEVER thought I would say that, but after thinking about this move for two years now I decided that it is going to be GREAT! I am so excited to reconnect with so many wonderful friends that live in Utah. Most of all I am excited to finally settle down. Ever since James and I have been married we have lived in 3 soon to be 4 different states. We have have endured 2 pregnancies, 2 children and 2 major power outages (7 days each, one dead of winter 06 and one dead of summer 06). We have traveled back and forth from the east coast to the west coast and back to the Midwest. We are going to miss all of the wonderful friends we have made here (you know who you are). We are so excited to finally settle down and set some roots. If your in Utah please let me know. We are excited to make this move and finally have Addy see the "big mountains" we are always talking to her about!

Aunt Adrienne Visits

This past week we were so lucky to have Aunt Adrienne visit. Adrienne and I have been best friends since we were 3 years old. Addy is actually named after her. It was so wonderful having her here to visit. Age, it has been way to long since we had seen each other. We can't go that long again! Addy is still asking about you! She woke up looking for you this morning. When I asked her what names starts with the letter A she proudly stated... "A is for Adrienne!" It was so cute! Thanks for hanging out with us and enduring a few crazy days! It was a blast. We miss you already.

EARTHQUAKE

Yes that's right! Last night we felt our first EARTHQUAKE! 5.2 on the scale. What's up with that? Living in the mid-west it was the last thing I thought I would ever experience here. It actually woke me from sleeping. I ran out into the hall of our house wondering what the heck was going on! James thought that maybe someone was doing laundry and their washing machine was off balance but it was 4:30am and it was unlikely that that would shake the entire house. It was pretty crazy! We are all safe and well and good thing the kiddies slept right through it!

HA HA HA HA

I have been going back and forth about actually blogging about this but I thought it was so hysterical that I think I do need to share it after all. So my sister Emily has been in town visiting for the past couple of days. It has been so much fun to have her here, and have an extra set of hands with the kids. Saturday night we decided to go out to Kohls (one of the only places to shop in our town). We went for the purpose of getting Addy her first pair of "big girl panties." She picked out Elmo and princess, of course I gave in and got her both. Anyway, as we were walking around the store we turned the corner and to the left of me was the, lets just say female undergarments section.  Addy screams out as loud as she could "HOLD BOOBS, HOLD BOOBS," as she is reaching for the nearest bra. Of course Emily and I die laughing. I started to push the stroller a little faster to get out of the section. The best part was she kept saying that phrase long after that department was out of sight. It was soooooo funny!!! It is amazing what kids pick up on!

For those of you who are waiting to hear about our news... I will be posting and update shortly.
