Katie and Joe Wedding

This past week I photographed a wedding reception for a friend's daughter. Here are some of the photos...

Go Dog Go

So Addy's new favorite book is Go Dog Go. She actually loves the long version ( we can't get her to sit through any other long books). It is so cute! Thanks to uncle Mike who gave her the book for her first birthday this year. Here are some cute pics of her reading

Happy Birthday Uncle Bobby

I just wanted to pay tribute to my brother Bobby on today his 20th birthday. Bobby is currently attending Utah State University, and I think he is secretly Addy's favorite uncle (sorry to all the other uncles out there reading post). When we left Bobby last week he was holding Addy and said to her: "Addy can I just hold you...(pause) Forever!" It was the cutest thing. It made my heart melt. Ever since we have retuned from our trip Addy asks for Bobby at least 50 times a day. The other day we were over at school visiting James and there was a student walking down the hall that I guess Addy thought was uncle Bobby because she started yelling "bobby, bobby, bobby" and running after the boy. When she finally reached him she looked up and said curiously "Bobby?" It was so funny. So Bobby if your reading this just know that you are dearly missed! Happy 20th!!!

Family Love

Here are some more pictures of our trip to DC. We had such a wonderful time with our family! We really miss you guys already!
Nana ( Addy's great grandmother), me and Addy.
Uncle Bobby being silly.

While we were in DC we were able to go to the Natural History museum in DC. My mom has been volunteering there for the past few months so she was able to give us a behind the scenes tour. Thanks Mom. This picture was taken when we were at the Korean exhibit. There was a group of visiting Korean students who were fascinated with Addy. They wanted to touch her hair and take pictures of her. It was so cute!

Butterfly Summer

Tonight when I was putting Addy to bed she wanted me to read this book at least 15 times in a row. I thought it was cute the first five times, by the end I was reciting it from memory in a monotone voice. She was very sad when I told her it was finally time to go to sleep. At least she did cuddle with me for a little while (which if you know our little active Addy, is rare) before I put her in bed. It is so interesting how kids love repetition of pretty much EVERYTHING!!!

I've been tagged

Thanks to Mandy I have been tagged! Here goes...
My five questions are:

1. If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, which would it be and why? I think I would have to say Pride and Prejudice... A&E version. I just love this movie and it is long enough to watch parts over a long period of time.

2. What is your favorite website to look at? I think I would have to say I don't have one favorite website. I love reading my friends blogs. I know I am such a stalker.

3. What is your favorite modern-day invention? Hair dryer... I don't think I could live without one... that and TIVO! I love not having to watch lame commercials anymore!

4. What one event has changed you the most? I think getting married to the love of my life and having my baby Addy. I just feel a new sense of responsibility and a an overwhelming capacity to love!

5. When you are having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, who do you call? I know this is going to be a shocker to those who know me well but I would have to say my "best friend" Adrienne! She is the one I call when I have having a no good very bad day or a great day! I just love talking to her because we can always make each other laugh!

Life at the beach...

We have been visiting my family for the past week and have been enjoying our down time relaxing at the beach. The only problem is that it has been so HOT!!! I think the heat index today was 108. CRAZY! Anyway, Addy has been enjoying playing in the fountains at the resort we are staying at. A highlight of her day. She is loving the pool and well all I can say about the actual beach is handfuls of sand in mouth! It is quite the sight. Here are some pictures of our trip so far. Wish you all were here!Addy trying to look coy...Having fun swimming in the poolAddy loved riding the merry go round. She went on it three times in a row. Here is a picture of her petting the horse she was ridingriding with mommywalking with "Pa Pa" near the fountains

Its a...

Today we went to get our ultrasound and found out we are having a healthy little baby boy. Needless to say James is overjoyed! He is finally getting his son that he has always dreamed about. If you don't know James well I will tell you that he is a sports/exercise fanatic so now he will have someone to play with! We are both so excited! I was just happy to hear that everything was normal. We have been having some false labor scares lately so it was great to hear that the baby is growing safe and healthy. The Dr.s orders were for me to just keep resting as much as I can. (Which is hard to do when you really feel fine and you have a 1 year old to run after). Hopefully things will calm down with my contractions and we can really start preparing for this new little arrival. Thanks for all of your support! We are so happy and excited to meet this little baby boy! Now all we have to do is figure out names...any suggestions are appreciated!
